Nic mac addr is null :( like 00:00:00:00:00:00

Hi,
I need to connect my thinkpad a21m
to my router but all OS's that I tried
are not working properly.

ifconfig return :
eth0
hwaddr : 00:00:00:00:00:00

I had the same problem with ubuntu studio, tinycore etc...
I was able to solve the problem with ubuntu by modifying /etc/network/interfaces
Now that I'm trying tinyme, which I really like (it's a comeback) HELP ME finish
my hd install !!!

ifconfig show my nic with a mac addr for eth0
null like 00:00:00:00:00:00

Edit : is there a way to set option for hardware in pclinuxOS Control Center 'Set current driver options' 'options' ?

Nevermind... I switch to Unity Linux but still have the problem
It looks like a hardware problem with my thinkpad
