MBR Messing with Boot Priority
So, I've been trying to install either Slax or TinyMe onto a USB Key for the past day or two. Neither one has been booting, I just end up with my mbr screen giving me the choice of XP/Linux. So I decided to try a LiveCD and low and behold - the same thing.
I've changed my BIOS setting twice now to load my CD-ROM before the harddrive, but always the same outcome. Is there any reason TinyMe's MBR is doing this? Can I fix it? Utopia Politics & General Talk. Not for the faint of heart. |

Re: MBR Messing with Boot Priority
It's not TinyMe, it's your BIOS.Try physically disconnecting your HD and see if that does the trick.

Re: MBR Messing with Boot Priority
Okay, Ill try it and post back here once I'm done.
Don't know why my BIOS is acting funny tho. Was working fine last time I tried. Utopia Politics & General Talk. Not for the faint of heart. |

Re: MBR Messing with Boot Priority
Well, my BIOS keeps switching my boot order, but it boots from a live-cd if i change the bios beforehand.
Guess I'm doing something wrong with the liveUSB, because i can't get it to boot from either my desktop or my girlfriend laptop - both of switch have the ability. Utopia Politics & General Talk. Not for the faint of heart. |
